Dead Sea Scrolls

The Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1947 in a cave at Qumran, on the West Bank of the Dead Sea.
Written in Aramaic, Hebrew and Greek, they describe the beliefs and practices of a Judean sect
living during the Second Temple period.
