New book: The Making of the Abrahamic Religions in Late Antiquity

Guy Stroumsa, who has contributed a great deal to the study of “esotericism” in ancient Christianity and Judaism (as in Hidden Wisdom and Secrecy and Concealment), is publishing what looks to be a fascinating new book with Oxford on “The Making of the Abrahamic Religions in Late Antiquity.” See its website here; abstract and table of contents here. Lots will be said here, I hope, about the importance of Gnosticism and Manichaeism in understanding crucial developments in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
