3-–9 August 2026, Lanckorona, Poland
We are pleased to announce the 10th Platonic Summer Seminar in Lanckorona, devoted this year to Plato and aletheia. The Seminar will take place in Lanckorona, Poland, approximately 30 km from Kraków, from 3 to 9 August 2026.
The programme will include two seminar sessions and a series of lectures by distinguished scholars. This year’s keynote speakers are Prof. Klaus Corcilius of the University of Tübingen, Prof. Irad Kimhi of the University of Chicago, and Prof. Matthias Haase of the University of Chicago.
The Seminar will explore the notion of alêtheia in Plato, Aristotle, and the idealist tradition, with particular attention to Plato’s Theaetetus, Sophist, and Republic, Aristotle’s accounts of truth, and Heidegger’s interpretation of Plato’s Cave Allegory. The seminars will be coordinated by Dr Michał Bizoń and Dr Andrzej Serafin.
