From George Boys-Stones:
We are delighted to be launching a search for someone to come to Toronto as a (full) Professor in Late Antique Latin Literature and Thought, with cross appointment in the Classics Department (75%) and the Centre for Medieval Studies (25%). We anticipate that the successful applicant will hold the post with the prestigious title of Jackman Professor in the Humanities. ‘Late Antique Latin Literature and Thought’ is not intended to be especially restrictive or inflexible: our imperative is to find someone who can complement our existing strengths in Classical and Medieval studies and make Toronto an even more exciting and attractive place in this general field than (we think) it already is. If you have any questions or would like to discuss the position, don’t hesitate to contact me. The deadline is 14th November; applications can be made here: https://jobs.utoronto.ca/job/Toronto-Professor-Late-Antique-Latin-Literature-and-Thought-ON/584834217/
Let me take the opportunity to remind you that we also have two ongoing searches in Greek literature in the Classics Department. There is plenty of time left to apply to these as well – the deadline is 17th October.
