Ethan Doyle White reports on the New Antiquties workshop

Last week, researchers gathered at Freie Universität Berlin to discuss the reception-history of ancient Mediterranean religion in contemporary alternative religious life. The papers largely dealt with Neo-Paganism and Neo-Gnosticism, and came from a variety of methodological backgrounds, ranging from archaeology and anthropology to comparative literature and history of religions. Ethan Doyle White has written up a nice summary of the event on his blog, linked presently.
